What to wear Wednesday! With holidays fast approaching and family sessions booking like crazy I have had A LOT of what to wear questions. I have had some sessions in the past where I just can't get over the little ones clothes. When I ask where the clothes are from I have come across this one company that I just love as an answer many times. I move around a lot with my husband being in the military and at first it was a lot of culture shock. Now I just like to soak in all that every new city has to offer. One thing I have noticed in Charleston is a lot of color, a lot of chevron, and A LOT of monograming. I personally just adore it. I have found a local rep for the clothing company Kelly's Kids and will be teaming up to offer a special gift for any purchases made through her Esale coming this fall. For anyone that purchases any of these adorable and coordinating outfits during her sale period Chasing Lilies Photography will be giving them a 20.00 gift certificate goods towards any session (holiday studio mini specials do not apply). If you haven't checked them out yet I highly recommend you do over at https://www.kellyskids.com/ and be careful because I have a huge list ready as they are too cute and addicting. More details will follow so keep an eye on my facebook for her Esale launch

Willow {baby} 10 months old |
Recently I was asked to photograph some props for a local vendor Mommy
Loves Me Crochet and I love working with her. When she asked me about
booking a mini session for her sweet baby girl Willow I was happy to
obliged. We went over to azalea park and wouldn't you know there was a
wedding smack in the middle. To be nice I attempted to sneak around the
wedding and ended up sinking in some mud and having to find my shoe (it
wasn't easy). Covered in mud and after a good laugh I had the
pleasure of photographing this big, bright eyed beauty. I have met some great friends through my business and I am happy to say this family has become some of them. Cant wait for our Atlanta trip to the Patriots game next month!

Lake Lanier Wedding With Pixel This Photography |
The day Glen and Becky Wilson of Pixel This Photography in Atlanta (www.pixel-this.net) invited me to second shoot a wedding with them I was jumping up an down so excited that of course my husband thought I was crazy. I love wedding photography. It is always something I have wanted to get into but I do NOT take them lightly. They are one of the most important days of someones life. There are no re-dos, no money back if they don't like them, you HAVE to nail them! I have been asked about them many times but have had to turn them down due to what I consider my inexperience. In come Glen and Becky. I met them at my wedding. Yup they were my wedding photographers and were so so amazing they have become my family photographers and friends. Glen is my go to man when I have technical questions and he is always willing to help. So when he knew I was interested in learning the art of wedding photography him and his wife Becky invited me along. It was wonderful to not only get to be there photographing with zero pressure I might mess up, but it was great to watch the two of them work together as a team. My husband and I could never do it week after week. I learned their routine and schedule and also a few new lighting techniques which I put into action at this weeks sunset maternity session. As for the wedding itself the bride was beautiful and her and the groom made an adorable couple. They had a cute country style wedding at Lake Lanier in Georgia. The family was a lot of fun and right away made us feel comfortable being there. As for wedding photography it is EXHAUSTING non stop go go go....and I loved every single second of it! Here are some of my favorite shots that I photographed while learning from two amazing people. I hope you enjoy.

Emily's Downtown Charleston Senior Session |
Emily found her way to me through a recommendation from one of my
neighbors and boy am I glad she did. We had a lot of fun at her session
downtown. Her and her family were so enjoyable to work with, she could
pose like the best of them, and hello look at the amazing red hair. She
brought the perfect combination of outfits for senior portraits. One fun
stylish outfit and one classic and timeless (great recommendation from
her mom). I really hope you enjoy your images as much as I did
photographing them. Have an amazing senior year!
