Elaina happens to be one of my neighbors so i was delighted to head to downtown Charleston with her for her senior portraits. It was a HOT day but we managed to work through it and got some beautiful shots. Luckily I had my husband with me that day as my assistant patting me off and replenishing my thirst as well as holding my reflector. Here are few of my favorites from her her session. Hope your senior year is a great one!

What to Wear Maternity |
Oops I am A day late on my what to wear Wednesday segment. Today I will be focusing on maternity wear with so many new moms to be coming up on my calendar. First things first...form fitting! Loose close feel great but do not photograph well. They do not show off the bump and can just make you look bigger rather than beautifully pregnant. Here are a few perfect examples of maternity photography outfit choices. I love a pregnant mommy ready to show off that belly on the beach in a pretty sarong and bikini top also! I look forward to working with all me beautiful mommies to be :)

Madeline Turns 2 |
Miss Madeline was turning 2 so mommy contacted me for a little mini
session at azalea park. She is a beautiful little girl but also a
stubborn one, trying to absolutely refuse a smile to my camera the
entire time. Luckily I'm quick with my shutter finger and managed to
steal some sweet smirks. Happy birthday little one. Mom and dad are in
trouble when you become a teenager :)

New beginnings |
Well I am just getting my new blog up and running. These past few months I have been truly blessed with the response to the re-branding and re-launch of my photography business down here in SC. I have also found a new love for creative newborn photography. I really cannot say I have just one style and never understood the photographer battle between natural light, studio light, lifestyle photography, modern photography etc...I do it all! I have a natural light newborn studio in a beautiful space in my home but when needed will pop on those studio lights. I love capturing intimate moments and natural beauty and at the same time LOVE my prop shots and creative setups. I feel that not being stuck in one place better helps to also fit my clients' needs and wants rather than my own. I truly love what I do and try to provide packages that fit everyone's needs as well as budget. Everyone should be able to afford and receive beautiful moments captured in time and a photo of their family to hang over the mantel. To start off my new blog how about a look at some of the adorable, squishy sweet newborns I have had the pleasure of meeting, snuggling, and photographing.
